Meet Miss Celia Barbu, Valedictorian of the Class of 2024 (Ku Kór Ku Géh)

Meet the valedictorian of the Adventist University of West Africa, class of 2023/2024 / "Ku Kor Ku Geh" ( We Fought and We Made It).


Miss Celia R.A Barbu was born on September 17, 2002 at the Poly Clinic in Jacob's town, Paynesville, Liberia. She was raised by her mom and lovely dad who loved her endlessly. She came from a God fearing family who love and care for everyone. 

She completed her primary, and later enrolled at the JJ.Robert's U.M.S where she completed her secondary education and graduated with high honors (Saludictorian) of the 20th graduating Class of 2019/2020.


Miss Barbu was passionate about her education during her pursuance for her first degree in Criminal Justice at the Adventist University of West Africa. 

Yesterday, June 20, 2024, Miss. Barbu emerged as the valedictorian of the Ku Kor Ku Geh Class of 2023/2024, standing tall amongst her peers with the CGPA of 3.86 (Magna Cum Laude) of which she secured the first place from her Criminal Justice Department (Dave Weigly College of Business and Public Administration). She is the dux of the Adventist University of West Africa class of 2023/2024.

Miss. Barbu asserted during her speech at her residence in the Duport Road Community, Paynesville, that, the Bsc degree that was conferred to her yesterday is just like getting a high school diploma, she won't rest until she gets her PhD. 

Miss. Ce Lia R.A Barbu, your hard work and perseverance have paid off. May God grant you the desires of your heart and make all your plans succeed! The future is all yours now. Go for it!
